Agility

Trish's passion for animals started when she was four and fell in love with training and competing with horses as well as caring for all the creatures that came through the family's upstate NY farm. Eventually she downsized to dogs as they are far more portable! But the competitive drive and love of training only grew. Trish's dedication to animals extends into her work life as she is a translational researcher for NIH, working on (among other projects) parasitic diseases affecting dogs and cats.

Her first competition dog, Boston Terrier Porter, introduced her to Flyball, agility, rally, obedience, and therapy work. Over the years she has earned agility and Flyball championships as well as trick dog and dock diving titles with several of her dogs. Her fur family currently includes her rescue Boston Terrier, Boom; her Border Collies, Surge who she affectionately refers to as "Mr. Perfect" and his "perfect son" Torque!; as well as her Maine Coon cat, Paco, who has even been known to run a short agility course at home. Trish is passionate about working with her dogs, learning new handling and training techniques, and is eager to learn from working with other dog and handler teams. In her free time, Trish loves to hike, head to the beach with her pups, and horseback ride.
