    Sequencing

    This seminar is for handlers familiar with One Mind Dog methods and techniques. Sequences will include jumps and tunnels only and will range from simple to more challenging as the day progresses.

    Prerequisites: Dogs must be 12 months of age or older and be sequencing jumps and tunnels.

  2. Saturday, August 13, 2016, 9:00am - 5:00pm

    Masters level coursework

    This seminar is for handlers working at the Masters level. Familiarity with One Mind Dog methods would be helpful for this seminar.

    Prerequisites: To participate in this seminar, dogs must be 15 months of age, have mastery of all equipment, and must have at least one leg in Masters standard.

  3. Sunday, August 14, 2016, 9:00am - 12:30pm

    Sizzling Seesaws

    This seminar will cover Jen's seesaw methodology including confidence building exercises, developing speed, weight shift, end behavior, games, and entries.

    Prerequisites: Dogs must be 10 months of age and have some experience on Seesaws. Permission of Elsie Maylott or Claudia Bates required.

  4. Sunday, August 14, 2016, 1:30pm - 5:00pm

    Amazing Weaves

    This seminar will include teaching entries, handling, footwork, speed, and independence, using 2x2 methodology and channels.

    Prerequisites: Dogs must be 12 months of age and have some weave experience. Permission of Elsie Maylott or Claudia Bates required.

Seminar Details

All seminars and workshop will be held in our 100' x 125' climate controlled building. There will be a one hour lunch break each day. Lunch will not be provided, but there are many fast food restaurants and delis in the area within close driving distance. Maps of Leesburg restaurants will be provided. We will have coffee, tea, water, and light snacks.

Registration Information

Each full day seminar (Friday and Saturday) will be limited to 10 working spots . The cost for a working spot (1 handler + 1 dog) is $165 for current ACA students* and $185 for general public, per day. Auditing spots (handler only) are available at $35/day for current students or $50 for the general public (no non-participating dogs in the building).

Each half day seminar (Sunday) will be limited to 10 working spots . The cost for a working spot (1 handler + 1 dog) is $100 for current ACA students* and $120 for general public, per day. Auditing spots (handler only) are available at $35/day for current students or $50 for the general public (no non-participating dogs in the building) or $20 for one seminar for current students or $30 for the general public.

- Registration opens Sunday, June 26 at 7:00pm for currently enrolled ACA students* and Sunday, July 3 for the general public.
- Registration is online ONLY.
- Please make sure you have an account on the ACA website and can login before registration opens to avoid delays in registering.
- Working spot registrations are taken in the order received and are approved based on verification of eligibility.
- A waitlist will be maintained once all working spots are filled.
- Confirmations will be sent within 48 hours.

* Current ACA students are defined as those that have taken four or more classes in the past year.
