    Topics include, but not limited to: building working relationship with your new agility partner; how to create drive, drive and MORE drive as well as fabulous focus; information on beginning contacts; entrances to weaves; tables; handling
    on the flat, and control sprinkled throughout.

    Prerequisites: For puppies 4-12 months.

    Sequencing for the Novice Dog

    The seminar will focus on basic handling (crosses, sends, commitment to obstacles, etc) as well as more complicated handling maneuvers using mainly jumps and tunnels. This seminar is perfect for a novice dog or a more advanced dog whose handler is looking for better timing and handling skills.

    Prerequisites: Dogs must be at least 15 months of age and able to sequence jumps and tunnels.

    Masters Coursework Handling Seminar

    This day will work on handling course challenges found in USDAA Masters level courses and AKC Excellent/Premier classes. It will concentrate on improving cue timing and delivery to encourage speed and accuracy. This is a handling seminar so obstacle performance will not be discussed. Dogs should be at least 18 months of age and proficient on all obstacles.

    Prerequisites: Dogs must be competing at the USDAA Masters level (standard) and AKC Excellent B level (Standard). Titles and eligibility to be provided by handler.

About Jen Pinder

Jen has been competitive in agility for 18 years. Running large and small dogs, Jen has a unique perspective as to how to get the best out of any dog she runs. Over the years, Jen has had many accomplishments. Jen has been on the AKC World Team 3 times and has attended the European Open as well. In addition, Jen has been on the WAO team with Border Staffy Taser and the IFCS team and WAO team with her Sheltie, Britain.

On this continent, Jen has several Steeplechase Championships, Grand Prix Championships, and USDAA Team Championships. Over the years, Jen has put 8 ADCHs and several MACHs on her Border Collies, Jack Russels, mixed breeds, and Shelties. Jen is currently competing with her Shelties Britain and Maeve and her Border Collie Bling.

In addition to her skills as a competitor, Jen's excellent teaching ability and ability to adapt to different styles of dogs is what makes Jen a highly sought after presenter/instructor across the country. Jen and her husband Bill reside in Lapeer, Michigan where she teaches for FiredUpK9s and Highest Hope Dog Sports teaching classes and private lessons. She also conducts seminars and workshops around the country.

Seminar Details

All seminars and workshop will be held in our 100' x 125' climate controlled building. There will be a one hour lunch break each day. Lunch will not be provided, but there are many fast food restaurants and delis in the area within close driving distance. Maps of Leesburg restaurants will be provided. We will have coffee, tea, water, and light snacks.

Registration Information

Each seminar will be limited to 10 working teams (12 for Puppies). The cost for a working spot is $165 for current ACA students and $190 for general public, for one day. Auditing spots are available at $40/day for current students and $50/day for everyone else (no non-participating dogs in the building).

- Registration opens Sunday, October 18th Sunday, October 25th at 7:00pm for currently enrolled ACA students* and Sunday, October 25 Sunday, November 1st for the general public.
- Registration is online ONLY.
- Please make sure you have an account on the ACA website and can login before registration opens to avoid delays in registering.
- Working spot registrations are taken in the order received and are approved based on verification of eligibility**.
- A waitlist will be maintained once all working spots are filled.
- Confirmations will be sent within 48 hours.

* Current ACA students are defined as those that have taken four or more classes in the past year.
