These events enabled him to accumulate 12 points and place second in the MVV competition against many other talented Vallhunds.

From Barbara Yoder:
In mid-November, Bernese Mountain Dogs Freya, Lara, Cindy, & Ingrid attended a herding workshop, focused primarily on the Bernese Mountain Dog, at Possum Hollow Farm in NC. Freya and Lara, easily passed their AHBA Herding Capability Tested (HCT) test on sheep (Cindy and Ingrid had earned these titles at a previous event). The last day of the clinic, all four competed in the AHBA Junior Herding Dog (JHD) test. Twelve-year-old Cindy, and daughters Ingrid and Freya, successfully completed their first legs toward the JHD-s.
Two weeks later, at the Turkey Trot Herding Trials at Keepstone Farm in Berryville, VA, all four BMDs, Freya, Ingrid, Cindy, & Lara, completed their JHD titles over the weekend. Cindy and Freya started out chasing the sheep but quickly settled down to move them through the gates and "hold" them until they could be penned. Congrats to all, who proved to be excellent representatives of the versatile Berner!

BRAGS
From Nancy Walkins:
On November 12 & 13, at the Revolution Flyball tournament, held in Wyndmoor, PA, Border Collie Cash (Sagehill Time is Money ONYX, SG, RE, HTD1-s, HRD1-s, HTAD1-s, TDI, CGC) earned 751 points toward his Flyball Dog Grand Champion title (30K). Cash & his Beltway Bandits team “Speeders” would have placed third in Regular Division 1, the fastest division based on seed time, however, their team captain had to fill in as the judge at the last minute so that the tournament could still be held, so the club had to run FEO!
Congratulations
and wags to everyone! |
