STUDENT BRAGS

From Ashley Anderson:

On May 7-9, at the Touch & Go USDAA trial in Sterling, VA, Border Collie Psi (ADCH Keepstone Sideswipe AX, AXJ, SCH-b, SACH, GCH, RCH, TM-s, HTADII-s, HRDII-s, HTDII-s, RLFIII-s, CGC) placed first in Team Snooker on Friday, and qualified in DAM team with partners "Pilot" Hirsch and "Ava" Bradley. On Saturday, Psi qualified in Grand Prix with a second place, and qualified in Master Pairs with "Dicey" Morton to complete his Relay Champion title. On Sunday, Psi qualified in Master Standard (second place), Master Snooker (first place & Super Q), and Master Jumpers (third place). At the same trial, Border Collie Skid (ADCH Quicksilver No Brakes MX, MXJ, JCH, SCH, PD3, PS3, PR3, PJ3, TM-b, ATD, HTADI-s, HRDII-s, HTDII-s, CGC) qualified in P3 Standard (fourth place), P3 Pairs (second place) with "Dia" Josselyn, P3 Snooker (third place & Super Q), and P3 Jumpers (fourth place).

On May 15 & 16, at the Artful Dodgers USDAA Trial in Millersville, MD, Skid qualified in P3 Standard (second place), P3 Pairs with "Yuki" Ianelli, and the Performance Grand Prix, to earn her Accomplished Tournament Dog title. Psi qualified in Master Standard (first place), Master Snooker (first place & Super Q), Master Jumpers (third place), and Steeplechase (second place) to earn his Tournament Master Silver.

On May 29-31, at the Capital City Cocker Club AKC agility trial in Fredericksburg, VA, Skid qualified five of six Excellent B runs, earning two Double Qs. Psi qualified and placed first in Excellent B JWW on both Sunday and Monday.

From Nina Cosgriff:

On May 22 & 23, at the WCWDCA AKC agility trial, held in Westminster, MD, Brittany Gunner (NiPa's ShowGun AX, AXJ) qualified and placed first in Excellent A Standard on Saturday to complete his AX title. On Sunday, he qualified in Excellent B Standard, earning his first MX leg. In addition, Gunner qualified in Excellent B JWW both days, earning his first Double Q on Sunday.

From Judy Shinogle:

At the German Shorthair Pointer National Specialty, GSP Bruni (MACH2 Legacy's Southern Silhouette JH, NRD, RN, CDX, XF, APD-bronze, ATD-silver AJD-silver) finished her MACH2 title, placing first place in Standard.  She also received her Novice Water Retrieving Dog title and two Rally Advanced legs, placing first and third.  At the same trial, GSP Siegfried (CH Summertime's Makin' Waves JH, NRD, RN, MX, MXJ, XF, MAD, MJ, MG, MR) passed his Novice Water Retrieve test and completed his Rally Novice title, placing first and second.

From Alan Strauss:

On May 21-23, at the WCWDCA AKC agility trial, ESS Smooch (Mystic’s Kiss and Tell TD, MX, MXJ) earned her 13th and 14th Double Qs. On Sunday, she placed fourth in Excellent B Standard. 

On May 29-31, at the Capital City Cocker Club’s AKC agility trial, Smooch earned her 15th and 16th Double Qs.

On May 15 & 16, the Belroi Agility Club of Virginia’s AKC  agility trial in Gloucester, VA, Beagle Shelley (MACH Shelley Ann Buford OF, EAC, OJC, TG-N, TN-O, WV-N, ASA, SG, AS, AR, JM, AAD, CGC) earned a Double Q on Sunday.

On May 21-23, at the WCWDCA AKC agility trial in Westminster, MD, Shelley qualified in JWW on Friday, and Double Q’d on Saturday and Sunday.

On May 29-31, at the Capital City Cocker Club’s AKC agility trial in Fredericksburg, VA, Shelley qualified in JWW on Saturday and Sunday, and Double Q'd on Monday.

On May 1 &2, at the SSCGB AKC agility trial in Jessup, MD, JRT Monty (MACH ADCH-Bronze APD NATCH U-AGI Smilin' Jack's Full Monty  JCH-Silver,  SCH-Silver, LAA-Bronze, ARD, AJD, ATD-Bronze, XF, S-EAC, S-EJC, O-EGC, S-TN-E, TG-E, O-WV-E,  Elite Versatility, 1000 Life Time Pts,  RS-E, JS-E, GS-O,  CGC,  AGIII) qualified in Excellent B JWW.  At the same trial, JRT Bindi (ADCH MACH U-AGII Bad to the Bone Bindi XF, SACH-Bronze, SCH- Bronze, JCH,  RCH,  TM- Silver,  TBAD, TG1, OAC, OJC, NGC, TG-E,  TN-E,  WV-N, Novice Versatility,  AGIII, CGC) qualified in Excellent B Standard with a fourth place.

On May 8 & 9, at the Touch & Go USDAA trial, Monty qualified in PIII Gamblers with a first place, Performance GP with a third place, PIII Pairs (running with Alyssia Greiner and Min Pin “Timmy”) with a fourth place, PIII Snooker with a first place and Super Q, and PIII Jumpers with a first place.  At the same trial, Bindi qualified in Performance GP, PIII Pairs (running with Patty Lane and JRT “Kermit”) with a first place, PIII Standard with a first place, and PIII Snooker with a second place.

On May 29 & 30, at the CCCC AKC agility trial, Monty Double Q’d on Sunday after being pulled from Saturday's runs for a dislocated toe.  At the same trial, Bindi Double Q’d on Saturday and Sunday, to complete the Double Q requirements for AKC Nationals.

On May 21st, Bindi was awarded the Mattaponi Kennel Club’s 2010 Agility Dog of the Year.

From Jim Nashed:

On May 7-9, at the Touch & Go USDAA trial, Border Collie Rusty (ADCH Winterwood Fine Gold MX, MXJ) and his  DAM team of Border Collies “F5 Tornado” and “Heat” placed sixth overall. Rusty placed second in Team Jumpers and third in Team Standard. On Saturday, Rusty placed second in Masters Standard, first in Masters Pairs with partner F5 Tornado, and first in the Grand Prix, earning a bye for Regionals.  On Sunday, he placed second in Masters Jumpers.
 
On May 29-31, at the CCCC AKC agility trial, Rusty qualified and placed third in Excellent B JWW on Saturday, and on Sunday, was fourth in Excellent B Standard and second in JWW, earning a Double Q.

On May 1 & 2, at the SSCGB AKC agility trial in Jessup, MD, Bedlington Terrier Josie (CH Chelsea’s Story in Your Eyes, RN, OA, NJP, OAJ, JE) qualified both days in Excellent A JWW to complete her AXJ title.  At the same trial, Bedlington Terrier Rudy (CH Chelsea’s Rootbeer Float, RE, MX, MXJ, NF, ME) earned a Double Q on Saturday.

On Sunday, May 23rd at the WCWDCA AKC agility trial in Westminster, MD, Rudy earned another Double Q.

On Sunday May 30th, at the New Jersey Beanfield Earthdogs Fun Day in Crosswicks NJ, Rudy was second fastest dog to find the rat in the game “Jersey Junkyard Challenge” with a time of 7 seconds.  Josie was fourth fastest with a time of 12 seconds.  Each terrier has to find a randomly placed PVC tube containing a rat among several other empty tubes placed in a pile of assorted boxes, tires, and junk in a small fenced area, and the handler has to tell the timer to stop time if he/she believes their dog has found the tube with the rat inside.  The correct handler determination with the fastest time wins.  A record 15 Bedlingtons attended this year’s NJBEC Earthdog Festival Weekend.

From Nancy Walkins:

On Saturday, May 8th, at the Richmond Obedience Club’s AKC obedience trial in Stafford, VA, Border Collie Yaz (U-CD Silveridge Yaz UD, RAE, AD, AG, AJ, SSA, SR, OA, AXJ, NF, NAC, NJC, NCC, TG-N, TN-O, WV-N, NADAC Novice Versatility, CGC, TDI) qualified in Utility B with a 193.5, and placed second out of 18 dogs, earning five OTCH points.

Attending only Saturday, May 15th, of the Artful Dodgers USDAA trial in Millersville, MD, Border Collie Lucy (U-CDX Loudoun’s Lofty Lucy CDX, RE, AX, AXJ, NF, JM, AAD, AS, AR, AG, NAC, NJC, FDCh-Gold, CGC) qualified in Masters Pairs with Border Collie “Dazzle Baureis” to earn her fourth RM leg.

On Saturday, May 22nd, at the Mattaponi Kennel Club’s AKC obedience trial in Manassas, VA, Yaz, competing for the first time in both Utility B and Open B, qualified and placed second in both classes with scores of 194.5 (Utility B) and 198 (Open B). Yaz earned his first UDX leg and two OTCH points for his Utility placement.

On May 29 & 30, the FBI Flyball tournament held in Manassas, VA, Border Collie Cash (Sagehill Time is Money RE, FMCh, HTD1-s, HRD1-s, HTAD1-s, CGC, TDI) and his Beltway Bandits team “Greenway” placed first in the Open division. Cash earned 655 points toward his next NAFA title.

On Saturday, May 29th, at the Nor’East Toy Dog Cluster's AKC trials in Fitchburg, MA, Italian Greyhound Lili (UCD, UAGI Infiniti Fantasia Spritely Lili CDX, RE, AX, AXJ, CGC) qualified with a score of 100 in Excellent A JWW, placing first, to complete her AXJ title.  At the same trial, Italian Greyhound Aura (PHF OneWinkAtATime At Spritely RN, CGC) qualified In Rally Novice with a score of 99, placing first, to complete her RN title.
