From Lisa Decker:

Attending only Friday, December 7th, of the Oriole DTC’s AKC agility trial in Westminster, MD, JRT Bindi (U-AGI Bad to the Bone Bindi AX, MXJ, NF,  AAD,  SAM, SM, JM,  RM, AG, OAC, OJC, NGC, TG-E,  TN-E,  WV-N, Novice Versatility,  AGI, AGII,  CGC) double Q'd and placed third in Excellent B Standard.

At the Mid-Atlantic MADness USDAA  Tournament Trial, held December 29 & 30th in Jessup, MD, Bindi along with her teammates, Cocker Spaniel “Silk” Beardsley and Papillon “Tilt” Smart qualified in the DAM Team event. At the same trial, JRT Monty (ADCH NATCH U-AGI Smilin' Jack's Full Monty AGIII,  JCH-Silver,  SCH-Silver, SACH-Bronze, RCH-Bronze, TM-Bronze, GCH,  S-EAC, S-EJC, O-EGC, S-TN-E, TG-E, O-WV-E,  Elite Versatility, 1000 Life Time Pts, MX, MXJ, NF, RS-E, JS-E, GS-O,  CGC) along with his Versatility Pairs partner,  Border Collie “Torque” Smart qualified in the team event.  Monty placed first in Team Gamblers and second in Team Snooker.

From Mary Webb:

At the Wester Reserve Kennel Club’s AKC agility trial on December 14th, Sheltie Drew ( U-CD Trinity Drew A Winner UD, HT, MX, MXJ, Can CD, MAD, TM, ASA, AJA, NAC, NJC) Double Q’d, placing third in Excellent B Standard and fourth in Excellent B JWW. 

At the Mid-Atlantic MADness USDAA Tournament Trial, held December 29 & 30th in Jessup, MD, Drew and his teammates Sheltie “Siesta” Bicksley and Border Collie “Silver” Hirsch, placed second in the DAM team event. In addition, Drew placed third in the Grand Prix to complete his Tournament Master title.

From Carol Klingler:

At the TNT Canines NADAC trial, held on December 29, 30, & 31 in Dillsburg, PA, All-American Milo (Milo S-NAC, S-NCC, S-TG-N, S-TN-N, O-NJC, WV-N, PK2, PD1, PG1, PJ1, CSL1) qualified and placed second in Novice Skilled Weavers to earn her WV-N title and her Novice Versatility award. Milo also qualified twice in Open Skilled Touch N Go (first and third place). She qualified in Novice Skilled Hoopers, Novice Skilled Weavers, Novice Skilled Jumpers, Open Skilled Tunnelers (second place), twice in Open Skilled Chances, and twice in Open Skilled Regular (first and second place). At the same trial, All American Bobby (Bobby S-NAC, S-NJC, S-NCC, O-TG-N, O-TN-N, PJ1, PK1, PG1, PR1, CSL1) qualified in Novice Skilled Chances to earn his S-NCC title and Novice Triple Superior award. Bobby also qualified in Novice Skilled Weavers, Novice Skilled Tunnelers (second place), Novice Skilled Touch N Go, and Open Skilled Chances.

At the Oriole DTC’s AKC agility trial, held on December 7-9 in Westminster, MD, PWD Jazz (Amigo’s Mars AX, AXJ, OF, CGC) earned his second Double Q, seventh MX leg, eighth and ninth MXJ legs, and 39 speed points. At the same trial, PWD Roxie (Amigo’s Brown Velvet CGC) earned her second Novice FAST leg (sixth place) and her first Novice Standard and Novice JWW legs, placing first in each class.

From Alyssia Greiner:

On December 2nd, at the Jet Set flyball tournament in York, PA, Border Collie Zippity (Eiz Zippity Do Da VCD2, RE, MX, MXJ, OF, MAD, SAM, GM, RM, JM, TM, NCC, FM, CGC) earned her Flyball Master title (5,000 points).

On December 7 & 8, at the ODTC AKC agility trial in Westminster, MD, Zippity completed her Open Fast title, placing first, and qualified both days in Excellent B JWW, placing first each time. At the same trial, Rat Terrier Spring (U-CH Smartypants Spring Loaded RA, CGC) qualified in Novice FAST, placing fourth.

On December 29 & 30, at the MADness USDAA Tournament Trial in Jessup, MD, Zippity qualified in the DAM Team event with her teammates Sheltie “Lucky” Brittell and Brittany “Julie” Banks. Zippity placed fourth in Team Standard and also qualified in the Grand Prix, placing third.

From Jim Nashed:

On December 7-9, at the Oriole DTC’s AKC agility trial in Westminster, MD, Border Collie Josie (Mystic Hills Lass MX, MXJ, OF) earned her first Excellent A FAST leg (first place), her eighth Double Q, and qualified in Excellent JWW on Sunday. At the same trial, Border Collie Rusty (Winterwood Fine Gold) earned two Excellent B Standard legs (third and fourth place), and completed his MX title. On Sunday, Rusty qualified and placed second in Excellent B JWW.
 
At the Mid-Atlantic MADness Tournament Trial on December 29 & 30 in Jessup, MD, Josie's team (D.A.M. BC's) qualified for Regionals with teammates Border Collie “Jackson” and Doberman “Marley”.  Their team also won a prize for the best finish for a team with a Starters dog. At the same trial, Rusty's team (Bordern' on Insanity) did not qualify, but he individually placed third in Team Gamblers and fourth in Team Standard.

From Marilyn Buford:

On December 7th, at the Oriole Dog Training Club's AKC agility trial in Westminster, MD, Beagle Shelley earned her first Novice FAST leg.


INSTRUCTOR BRAGS

From Nancy Walkins:

At the Jet Set Flyball tournament, held in York, PA on December 1 & 2, Border Collie Brie (FDGCh Brie AAD, OA, OAJ, EGC, OAC, OJC, ONYX, STDs, CGC) earned her Flyball Dog Grand Champion title by reaching 30,000 points in the first race on Sunday. Brie’s Beltway Bandits team “Speeders” placed first in their Regular Division, winning 37 of 40 races. Brie, who will be 13 years old in June, ran as start dog the entire weekend and maintained times well under 5 seconds in almost every race.  Brie received a big ribbon at the awards ceremony, and will receive a plaque from NAFA for her achievement.

At the same tournament, Border Collie Cash (Sagehill Time is Money RA, FDCh-G, HTD1-s, HRD1-s, HTAD1-s, CGC, TDI) completed his Flyball Dog Champion-Gold title (2500 points). Cash ran full-time (80 races!) on two Beltway Bandits teams that placed third and fourth in two different divisions. He ran as start dog and as the second dog, and maintained times that averaged 4.2 seconds, even jumping 13” in one of the divisions.

At the Penn-Ohio USDAA trial, held on October 13 & 14, Border Collie Kestrel (Timeless Time to Soar, AAD, AS, AJ, TM, MX, AXJ, JHD) earned the following qualifying scores: two legs in Masters Snooker; one Steeplechase leg, placing fourth; one leg in Masters Pairs, placing third; and one Masters Standard leg, placing third. At the same trial, Border Collie Giddy Up! (ADCh Timeless Giddy Up Girl!, SM, SAM, GCh, RM, TM, JM, MX, MXJ, JHD) earned the following qualifying scores: one leg in Masters Snooker; one Steeplechase leg, placing second; one leg in Masters Gamblers, placing second; and two Masters Standard legs, placing second and fourth.    

At the Cynosport World Games in Scotsdale, AZ (USDAA Nationals), held November 1-4, Kestrel qualified for the Grand Prix semi-finals from the Quarter Final round.  Giddy Up! also qualified for the Grand Prix semi-finals from the Quarter Final round, and she placed in the top 20 in Team Standard, out of  300+ 22" dogs.  

At the Mid-Atlantic Madness trial in Jessup, MD, held on December 29 & 30, Kestrel's team "Two Scots and an Aussie Go into a Bar..." (with teammates “Willow” Beardsley and “Pilot” Hirsch) placed third overall out of 45 teams. Kestrel placed fourth in Team Jumpers and fourth in Team Snooker in the very competitive 22" class. In addition, Kestrel earned a qualifying score in Grand Prix. At the same trial, Giddy Up's team "Maci's Giddy for Jive" (with team-mates “Jive” Jones and “Maci” Wilkes) placed fifth overall out of 45 teams. Giddy Up! placed second in Team Jumpers and second in Team Snooker in the very competitive 22" class.  Giddy also earned a qualifying score in the Grand Prix.
